Goals

The main goal of the EAS is to fight against all market restrictions, support favourable business environment without privileges and exceptions that are distorting competition, and protect social status of entrepreneur and his rights and freedoms. The EAS considers its duty to prevent all political and economic measures leading to deteriorations of fair business environment for all businesses.

The EAS applies following main principles in its activities: 
 

• voluntary membership
• freedom of opinion, and expression 
• honesty and moral integrity

The EAS is promoting following principles in public policy discussions:

• inviolability of private property rights
• low tax and contribution burden
• rule of law with simple legislative framework
• liberalization of economy
• prevention of excessive growth of state bureaucracy
• positive attitudes of the general public towards private sector in the society

To achieve these priorities the EAS is supporting: 
 

• the widest scale of privatization, limitation of direct state interference in the economy, general liberalization of business life, limitation of redistributing processes in economy and protection of market (the business) economy against clientelism 
• stable laws, which in a simple, clear and explicit way determine the rules for activities of all businesses, as well as their relationships with other entities 
• establishment of well-functioning judiciary system and other institutions, enabling effective protection of property rights 
• systematic public awareness campaign informing about the benefits of private and free business activities.
